Automatic Vechile Identification is basically an autonomous identification technique used with moving objects such as vechiles. System of Avi(Automtic vechile identification) have been around for more than a decade AVI systems are designed to be connected to access control systems. AVI systems are designed to be connected to access control systems. the same systems you use for building access control, can also be extended to support vehicle access control, which will enable you to extend the deployment of security policies. Time schedules and conditional authorizations can easily be implemented for vehicles. The process is basically accomplished in two formats:-
1.Radio Frequency identification- In this process the moving object passes the RFID Reader and record is saved.
2.Automatic Number plate Identification(ANPR) System- In this system, a picture of the number plate is clicked and then using the Optical character recognition (OCR), the characters are identified which is then used to identify the vehicle.
